Question 813524: Their is a solution of 50 ml(parco-cleaner),we have to acidify this solution with 1:1 sulphuric acid.so how much amount of sulphuric acid added in this solution(i.e.parcocleaner)
Answer by josgarithmetic(39617) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
How much depends on the equivalents of hydroxide ion present in your parcocleaner. Either read the documentation which comes with parcocleaner, or find the amount of equivalents of hydroxide by titration.
You might need to DILUTE your parcocleaner very much BEFORE adding your 1:1 sulphuric acid; because adding concentrated sulphuric acid to any base can be extremely dangerous. Such addition will generate a great amount of heat and can cause explosive boiling.
