if you boil 3 gal of 10% salt water until there are only 2 gal left,
what is the percent of salt when you finish?
:
the amount of salt remains the same only the per cent changes, therefore
let x = percent salt in the 2 gal that remain
10(3) = x(2)
30 = 2x
x = 15% now
