How much pure aci must be added to 2 liters of a 10% solution of acid to obtain a mixture that is 20% acid?
-------
Equation:
acid + acid = acid
1.00x + 0.10*2 = 0.20(x+2)
------
100x + 10*2 = 20x + 20*2
-----
80x = 10*2
-----
x = 1/4 liters (amt. of pure acid to add)
