how many liters of a 15% salt solution must be added to 2 liters of a 30% salt solution to yield a solution that is 18% salt?
-----
Equation:
salt + salt = salt
0.30*2 + 0.15x = 0.18(2+x)
-------
30*2 + 15x = 18*2 + 18x
3x = 12*2
x = 8 liters (amt. of 15% solution to add)
