The target solution concentration achieved was T%. The available starting solution apparantly of lower concentration was v liters of L% acid. You are given v and L. The higher concentration H% acid was also used, call this amount u. You also know the value of u but you want to solve for H.

You mixed u liters of L% acid with v liters of H% acid and this made a solution resulting in T% acid. You do not know H but wish to find it.

EQUATION FOR THE TARGET RESULTING PERCENT ACID SOLUTION:
