Question 725315: A trucking company has 1000 liters of coolant. The coolant is 30% antifreeze. How much water should be added to make the mixture 25% antifreeze?
I've tried a porportion; {{ 1000/b=25/100}} then I cross multiplied to get, 25b=100,000. After that I divided both sides to get b=4,000 liters of water. I'm not positive that is the answer.

70*1000+x=.75(1000+x)
x=200 liters of water
add 200 liters of water
or
from view of antifreeze
.3*1000=.25(1000+x)
x=200 liters of water
add 200 liters of water
