Question 693979: process please:

How many ml of a 30% acid solution must be mixed with 2 ml of a 40% acid solution to make a 32% solution?

Answer by checkley79(3341)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.30x+.40*2=.32(x+2)
.30x+.80=.32x+.64
.30x-.32x=.64-.80
-.02x=-.16
x=-.16/-.02
x=8 ml of the 30% solution is used.
Proof:
.30*8+.40*2=.32(8+2)
2.4+.8=.32*10
3.2=3.2
