Equation:
acid + acid = acid
0.30x + 0*1 = 0.02(x+1)
---
Multiply thru by 100 to get:
30x + 0 = 2x+2
28x = 2
x = 2/28 = 0.0714 oz
---
Start with 0.0714 oz of 30% acid; add 1 ounce of water.
You will end up with a 2% solution of 1.0714 oz of liquid.
