What amount of a 35% solution must be added to 20 milliliters of a 15% solution to get a 25% solution.
.
Let x = amount (milliliters) of 35% solution added
then
.35x + .15(20) = .25(x+20)
.35x + 3 = .25x+5
.10x + 3 = 5
.10x = 2
x = 2/.10
x = 20 milliliters
