Answer by edjones(8007) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(x)(5M)=(25ml)(1.5M)
x=(25*1.5)/5
=7.5 ml

Your equation is , as you wrote.
I am leaving the units out because we know x will be in mL, like 25 mL is in mL, and the concentration units match.
Dividing both sides of the equation by 5 we find the answer
--> -->
You need 7.5 mL of the 5M solution.
Then you would add enough water to make the final volume 25.0 mL, and mix well.
