Question 573131: A plane trip took 6 hours at a speed of 360 mph. How far did the plane go?
Answer by mathsmiles(68)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
It may help to spell out mph as miles per hour. This means
miles / hour.

We also know the plane took 6 hours.

If we multiply hours times miles / hour (do it on paper and you'll see easier), the hours cancel out and you're left with miles.

So, 360mph x 6hours = X miles
2160 miles
