How many grams of water must be added to 2 grams of a 65% iodine solution in order to produce a 42% iodine solution? Round your answer to the nearest tenth.

2 gm of 65% = 1.3 gm of I

1.3 gm = 42% of the solution
Total solution = 1.3/0.42 =~ 3.095 gm
Add 3.1 - 2 = 1.1 gm of water
