What strength of 20 ml acid should be added to 10 ml of 50% acid to get an average strength of 20% acid?

let x = the strength (in decimal form) of the 20 ml of acid which is to be added
:
20x + .50(10) = .20(20+10)
20x + 5 = .20(30)
20x = 6 - 5
20x = 1
x =
x = .05 which is 5% strength
