Now that I am understanding Your question properly:

Mixing 2m^3 of 35% solution with 6m^3 of 15% solution

Generally, recommend letting x represent a 'decimal value' on the right side

         Mixing

 .35*2m^3 + .15*6m^3 = x* 8m^3  

      1.6m^3 = x*8m^3

      1.6/8 = x

        .20 = x    |.20 = 20/100 OR 20%    |Converting the decimal to Percent

     mixing will result in 8m^3 of  20% Solution

There is some ambiguity in the rendering of your equation, but I'm going to presume you mean:











Further, since you cannot solve this for  other than to say  is any real number, that you need to solve for 





Step 1:  Multiply 0.35 times 2, 0.15 times 6, and  times 8.





Step 2:  Re-write your equation:











Step 3:  Combine like terms in the LHS:











Step 4:  Multiply both sides by
