Jon has 50 ml of a 10% acid solution. How many ml of 45% acid solution should he add to create 35% acid solution?

Let x = amount (ml) of 45% solution
then
.45x + .10(50) = .35(50+x)
.45x + 5 = 15.5 + .35x
.10x + 5 = 15.5
.10x = 10.5
x = 10.5/.10
x = 105 ml of 45% acid solution
