How many liters of water must be evaporated from 20L of a 30% salt solution to produce a 50% salt solution?
------------------
20L of a 30% salt solution has 6 liters of salt in 14 liters of water
To be 50%, the water has to also be 6 liters
14 - 6 = 8 liters of water to evaporate.
8 liters
----------
PS The salt doesn't evaporate, only the water. In a salt water fish tank, you never have to add salt.
