Question 455093: I need help again, Thanks
The formula r= 2sqrt 5L can be used to approximate the speed r in miles per hr of a car that has left skid marks of length L in feet. How far will a car skid at 60 mph?
Answer by amoresroy(361) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Given:
r = 2(5L)^1/2
where r = 60
60 = 2(5L)^1/2
30 = (5L)^1/2
Square both sides
900 = 5L
L = 180
The car will skid 180 ft.
