1(.20)+x(1.00)=.40(1+x)
.20+x=.40+.4x
.6x=.20
x=.2/.6=.33
I would add 1/3 liter of pure potassium in saline to the litre of 20% saline I already had to make 1-1/3 litres of 40% potassium saline..
