Emily mixed together 9 gal. of brand A fruit drink which contains 48% fruit juice. Find the percent of fruit juice in brand A if the mixture contained 30% fruit juice.

Answer by rwm(914) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
This is not the typical mixture problem. First it is poorly written.
.48*9=4.32 gallons of juice in brand A
But the question doesn't say if the quantity of mixture is the same or not.
if so then most of the question is not needed
.3*9=2.7 gallons of juice
