Question 427081: I have on hand morphine 500mg in 500ml normal saline. I need to administer morphine 80mg per hour in a continuous IV infusion. How many ml per hour do I set the controller? I tried to figure it by dividing 80mg by 0.001 ml but came up with 80,000 ml per hr or 5,333 drops per hour, that is absurd! So I took the 500mg and divided it by the 80mg and came up with 6.25ml to set the controller. Correct? Thank You in advance for your help :)
