Question 417446: The problem I am trying to solve is as follows:
You need to compound lansoprazole suspension in a concentration of 3mg/mL. In this suspension you will need lansoprazole 30 mg capsules and sodium bicarbonate 8.4% solution. If you need 480 mL, how many capsules of lansoprazole will you need?
I have tried various ways to arrive at the answer, such w/v formula, the Q1,Q2,C1,C2 formula. I have tried setting up various proportions formulas. I have changed mg to g. Please explain to me step by step how to solve this problem. Is it a 2 step problem?
Answer by jorel1380(3719) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
480mL x 3 mg/mL=1440 mg
1440/30=48
You need 48 capsules for your solution..
