Let x represent amount of the 50% solution

Question states***

 .50x + .15*10L = .25(10L + x)

     .25x = .10*10L

        x = 4L  

CHECKING our Answer***

.50*4 + .15*10 = 2 + 1.5 = 3.5 = .25*14
