Hi,
Let x represent the amount of the more concentrated 60% solution,
then (100L - x) would be the amount of the 30% solution
Mixing together to form the 100L of 45% solution***
.60x + .30(100L-x) = .45*100L
Solving for x
.30x = .15*100L
x = 50 L, the amount of the more concentrated 60% solution. 50L of the 30% also
CHECKING our Answer***
.6*50 + .3*50 = 30 + 15 = 45 = .45*100
