Hi,
Let x/100 represent the % of that mixture
.35*2m^3 + .15*6m^3 = x/100*8m^3
1.60/8m^3 = x/100
.20 = x/100
20% = x the % of sand in this mixture
.20*8 = 1.6m^3 of sand in that new mixture

.7m^3 + .9 m^3 = 1.6m^3
