Comemerical jet's speed = 2x-148
Private jet's speed =x
Equation:
6(x)=4(2x-148)
6x=8x-592
2x=592
x=296
2(296)-148=444
Hence, the private jet flies at 296mph and the commerical jet flies at 444mph.
