convert 1 gal to ml: 1 gal = 3.785 liter, which is 3785 ml

Let x = amt of 99% acetic acid required to accomplish this
:
.99x = .025(3785)
.99x = 94.625
x =
x = 95.58 ml of 99% acid required
then
3785 - 95.58 = 3689.42 ml of water

Confirm this by seeing that the amt of acid is equal in each mixture
.99(95.58) = .025(3785)
94.6 = 94.6
