Question 30878: The driver of a car with a leaking radiator found it necessary to add water twice on a trip. The radiator held 120 liters and was filled with 30% alcohol solution at the start. At the end of the trip, the radiator was again filled with water and the solution was tested and found out to be 25% alcohol. Find the total amount of water used.
Answer by Paul(988) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
20(120)=25(x-120)
2400=25x-3000
25x=5400
x=216
Hence, about 216L of water was refilled.
