Jim uses the 5 L jar to fill the 4 L jar and pours the excess into the 10 L jar. Then he uses the 4L jar to fill the 3 L jar and pours the excess into the 10 L jar. He repeats the process until all but the 1 L jar is empty. What percent of the 10 L jar is filled?

start with 5 filled
5 into 4 plus 1 into 10
4 into 3 plus 1 into 10
3 into 2 plus 1 into 10
2 into 1 plus 1 into 10
so now the 1 is filled and there are 4 liters in the 10
