Two different chemicals are to be mixed, Chemical 1 is 25% citrate acid, and Chemical 2 is 37% ascorbic acid. A 24 milliliters of mixture solution is desired with 30% of acid in it.
Let x be the amount of chemical 1. Then the amount of chemical 2 will be 24-x.
We have then:
.25*x + .37*(24-x) = .3*24
Solve for x.
