Question 27604: A machine requires four hours to make a unit of Product A and three hours to make a unit of product B. Last month the machine operated for 200 hours producing a total of 60 units . How many units of Product A were produced
Answer by Paul(988)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let A unit be x
Let b unit be y
x+y=60
y=60-x (subsitution)

4x+3y=200
Use subsitution
4x+3(60-x)=200
4x-3x+180=200
x=20

y=60-20
y=40

Hence about 20 units of product A were produced and about 40 units of product B were prodduced.
