.16(20)= .13x +.18x,
then i got 3.2=.05x

a chemist wants to make 50ml of a 16% acid solution by mixing a 13% acid solution and an 18% acid solution. how many ml of each solution should the chemist use?
i set up the equation as followed but i dont know if it is correct
.16(20)= .13x +.18x,
then i got 3.2=.05x
then i divided and got 64 ml
x=64ml
----------------
64 is more than 50
------------------
.16*50 = .13*x + .18*(50-x)
800 = 13x + 900 - 18x
-100 = -5x
x = 20 ml of 13%
30 ml of 18%
