How many liters of each should be mixed together in order to get 25L that is 22% orange juice? thank youAnswer by longjonsilver(2297)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!I have a Lesson on here that explains "Mixture" questions. Have a look at it. Define x = Amount (in litres) of 30% juice Now, leap of understanding here... how much of the 5% juice was used? Answer is (25-x) litres. So, we have 0.30x + 0.05(25-x) = 0.22*25 --> 0.30x + 1.25 - 0.05x = 5.5 --> 0.25x = 4.25 --> x = 4.25/0.25 --> x = 17 litres of the 30% juice So, there are 25-17 --> 8 litres of the 5% juice. jon.
