Twelve percent of 20 gallons plus four percent of some unknown amount must equal ten percent of 20 gallons plus that unknown amount.
Just solve for x. (Hint: Start by multiplying both sides by 100 to get rid of those pesky and sometimes confusing decimal fraction coefficients)
