Well, the first thought that comes to mind is the growth of foods that use sunlight in the photosynthesis process, wherein they create their own food. When humans eat such foods, they are digested and transformed into substances the body can utilize for its functions.
Humans aren't solar cells and do not absorb energy per se. However, sunlight is vital in many ways.
