Answer by josmiceli(19441)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
a) 1 ounce of Tositos provides 9% of the MDV of fat.
% means "per one-hundred" 9% = 9/100
when you divide by multiples of 10, move the decimal point
one place to the left for each division by 10
9 = 9
9/10 = .9
9/100 = .09 answer
--------------------
b) 1/2 cup of Campbells' New England clam chowder provides 6% of the MDV of iron.
6% = 6/100
6 = 6
6/10 = .6
6/100 = .06 answer
