One of the values in the description or the question is off.
If the two AVAILABLE alloys are 90% Gold and 70% Gold, and the goldsmith wants 150 grams of 80% alloy then this is exactly in the middle of the two alloys available.
75 grams of each available alloy will give him the desired 80% alloy.
