Mix a solution that is 70% acid with a solution that is 90% water to make 9L of a solution that is 30% acid. How much of each solution should you use?

Let amt. of 70% solution be "x" L; Amt of acid is 0.70x L
-----------------------
Amt of 10% solution is "9-x"L ; amt of acid is 0.10(9-x)= 0.9-0.1x L
-----------------------
Amt of mix is 9 L : amt of acid = 0.3(9) = 2.7 L

EQUATION:
acid + acid = acid
0.7x + 0.9-0.1x = 2.7
0.6x = 1.8
x = 3 L (amt. of 70% solution in the mix)
9-x = 6 L (amt. of 90% water solution in the mix)
