    How much water must be added to 960 ml of acid solution which contains 10% pure acid to obtain a solution containing 8% pure acid?


Solution

 = 0.08,


where x is the amount of the water under the question.


Solve this equation for x.


Your first step is to multiply both sides of the equation by (960+x).
