Question 1064886: Mary wants to make 6 ml of a 46% saline solution by mixing together a 6% saline solution and a 86% saline solution. How much of each solution must she use?
Answer by josgarithmetic(39618) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
This cannot be done. There is no such "86%" saline. There is no "46%" saline. If you wish to ignore this and just do the arithmetic, then it can be handled like so:
x, how much volume of the 6%
6-x, how much of the 86%
Solve for x and evaluate 6-x.
