Let n be the amount of 20% solution needed. Then the amount of 5% solution needed would be 100-n. So:
.2n+.05(100-n)=.12(100)
.15n+5=12
.15n=7
n=46.67
46.67mL of 20% solution mixed with 53.33mL of 5% solution will give you 100mL of 12% solution. ☺☺☺☺
