An Inlet pipe an oil tank in 10 days and a 2nd Inlet pipe can fill the same tank in 12 days.
If both pipes are used how long will it take to fill the tank?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Since the first pipe fills the tank in 10 days, it actually fills  of the tank volume per day.
Since the second pipe fills the tank in 12 days, it fills  of the tank volume per day.
When both pipes work together, they fill  of the tank volume per day.
 =  = .
Hence, it will take  =   days for both pipes to fill the tank.
Answer. Two pipes working together will fill the tank in   days.
