Loss of of what is first measured, but the time period is not given. How much time for trying to measure and pour the first 8 cups? How much time while looking for the sealer? How much time for the sealant application action? Is the container now empty completely and you need to measure fully 8 cups of juice again?

The best that can be guessed is that first, 8 cups put in, and 2 cups drained out; and then 2 more cups of juice were measured and poured in. .
