Premium coffee sells for $6.00 per pound and regular coffee sells for $4.00 per pound. how many pounds of each type of coffee should be blended to obtain 100 pounds of a blend that sells for $4.64 per pound.

It says the total will be 100, therefore:
(100-x) lb of regular coffee:

A simple equation:
6x + 4(100-x) = 4.64(100)
:
6x + 400 - 4x = 464
:
6x - 4x = 464 - 400
:
2x = 64
:
x = 64/2
:
x = 32 lb of premium coffee
