Tooooo much chemistry for us.
We don't know relevant chemistry formulas.
Sorry.
But if you have this knowledge, this lesson might be of help to you
Using proportions to solve Chemistry problems
Answer by KMST(5328) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
One mole of salicylic acid plus enough acetic anhydride could produce one mole of acetylsalicylic acid (aka aspirin).
Their molar masses are and , so the ratio of masses of aspirin to salicylic acid will be .
That means that of salicylic acid could produce
of aspirin.
NOTES:
Since the mass of salicylic acid was given with 4 significant digits,
giving the answer with 4 significant digits makes science sense.
For chemistry problems, there is a website called yeahchemistry.
I used to answer questions there years ago, but the need for help was much greater here.
I believe the ratio of tutors to questions there is still much better than here, and they all know chemistry.
