Answer by jorel555(1290) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let n= coats with hoods
5n+10(50-n)=400
5n+500-10n=400
5n=100
n=20
There are 20 coats with hoods, which have 5 buttons apiece, and 30 coats without hoods, which have 10 buttons apiece!!!!!!!!!!
