Question 367485: If a ball is thrown upward 32 ft per second from a 40 ft. tall building,the height of the ball can be measured by S=40+32t-16t^2, where t is the number of seconds after the ball is thrown. Find the t and S coordinates of the vortex of this quadratic equation.
I am not quite sure how to solve this. I was originally factoring it out.
0=-16t^2+32t+40
0=-4(4t^2-8t-10)
