Question 986577: On her way to the market a horse stepped on Mrs. O'Leary's egg basket and cracked every single egg. The rider offered to pay for the damages and asked how many eggs she had brought. Mrs. O'Leary couldnt remember the exact number but her youngest daughter reported that she put the eggs into her basket two at a time that morning there was one egg left over. The next youngest spoke up and said he moved all the eggs to a different basket he picked up the eggs three at a time and found again that there was one left over. It turned that all her children moved the eggs to a different basket , they reported that one egg was left over when picked up 4,5 or 6 at a time but when the eggs were counted seven at a time it came out even, what is the smallest # of eggs she could have had?
