The average price of a movie ticke, in dollars, can be estimated by the function P given by: P(x)= 0.115522x-298.592 where x is the year. So, P(2000) is the price of a ticket in the year 2000. Use the function to find the price of a ticket in the years 2007 and 2010. Round to the nearest penny.
I thought it would be solved by 0.15522(2007)-298.592, but this is not the correct answer.

Something is wrong. I checked your equation and found
P(2000) = -67.55
That doesn't sound right for the average price of a
movie ticket.
