Answer by edjones(8007)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let x=weight of boat
weight of motor=x-1500
weight of trailer=x-1900
Boat+motor=5*trailer
x+x-1500=5(x-1900)
2x-1500=5x-9500
add 9500 to both sides. 2x+8000=5x
subtract 2x from both sides. 8000=3x
divide both sides by 3.
weight of the boat=lbs
