A triangle has a perimeter of 31 ft. If one side is five feet shorter than the longest side, and one foot longer than the shortest side, find the dimensions of the triangle.
longest side = x ft
side = x-5 ft
shortest = side - 1 = x-6 ft

Equation:
x + (x-5) + (x-6) = 31
3x - 11 = 31
3x = 42
x = 14 ft (longest side)
x-5 = 9 ft (medium side)
x-6 = 8 ft (shortest side)
